Jazz singer Sue Bond will be performing on Sunday February 28th at the newest jazz venue on the Sunshine Coast that has been attracting huge audiences. 
The Jazz Sessions at the Bison Bar is now in its 4th month and still the crowds have been strong. 
Situated in the heart of Nambour in a cool loungeroom/basement type room that seats 60, the event has now hosted some of Queensland’s and Australia’s top performing artists including George Golla and Jacki Cooper.

Sue Bond is an award winning jazz vocalist with career highlights including national television with Don Burrows and performing with the Phillip Morris big band at the Perth Concert Hall.
Her rich voice and eclectic approach make her one of the most individual of today's jazz singers.
Her crystal clear vocal talents and expert technique has her selecting material made famous by the likes Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. 

Sue spent the best part of the 80’s performing with Perth channel 9 Orchestra and being a regular host of many TV variety shows in Brisbane and Perth.

Sue's repertoire includes modern interpretations of standards backed up by one of the hottest rhythm sections in Queensland.

With Sue on Sunday 28th will be Andrew Shaw on bass with thirty-five years in the business the well-known Shaw, is enjoying a fulfilling and challenging
career as a double bassist and reluctant sometime bass guitarist. His main area of
performance is jazz, in all its' forms from traditional New Orleans to contemporary
improvisation. He has performed with some of the greats of the jazz world.

Marnix van Brugen on Piaino led weekly sessions in renowned Hague jazz clubs such as Cafe Van Merlen and The Beer Cellar Jazz Club with bands such as Jazzcapade and Four for the Road. In 1994, he was a member of the quintet Mingus Ahum with which he gave several successful Dutch performances. 
More recently, Marnix has performed extensively throughout Australia, Holland and Belgium with DeJaVu accoustic Jazz Lounge Group.

The Bison Bar is open from 5pm till late Wed-Sat, 4pm-8pm Sundays.
