DENISE HARRIS "Exploring the Great American Songbook"

The Sunshine Coast is home to many amazing people including many stars who have come here to ‘retire’.Denise Harris is one of those people.Though you may not have heard of her, Denise is a star in the jazz world, having sung all around the world with many amazing people.
Originally from New Zealand, Denise recorded extensively with Radio New Zealand and had numerous appearances for Television New Zealand.While there she worked with Dudley Moore, Alan Broadbent (musical director for Natalie Cole), Julian Lee and Bobby Shew among others.
She went on to perform at the prestigious Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, International Jazz Festivals, Channel 9 Australia, Soup Plus and The Basement in Sydney and countless jazz clubs and festivals around Australia.She is highly regarded among the jazz world and has performed with many jazz greats including Ray Brown, George Golla, Matt Baker, Don Burrows and the Sunny Coast’s Vince Genova (now deceased).
Her ability to interpret jazz standards and deliver beautiful vocal arrangements has seen her enjoy an extensive career in teaching, performing and selling her music all over the world.
Now Denise calls the Sunshine Coast home! “The Jazz Sessions” is providing an opportunity for us to experience the magic of Denise’s music when she performs at The Bison Bar on Sunday 27th November, 3:00pm.
